I’m thinking of buying a hik vision doorbell (not sure which one ) as I’m fed up of paying ring subs which keep going up and up … so I have some questions…
1/ Are they wifi .. because all my 8 ports are used on my nvr
2/ does do the same functions as the ring doorbell in terms of use
3/ does...
the 8 cams are all on hd and they do work fine .. the only issue I have sometimes is with the hik connect app and saving playback …for some reason I get this message and saved playback doesn’t play …and yet sometimes it’s fine ..which is all a bit frustrating Ive read that the minimum recording...
I have this model nvr and finding the latest firmware is very confusing.. entering the model numbers into hiks web site and apparently it doesn’t exist!
I think ( according to the nvr) I have the latest firmware but I’m not sure v4.61.025. 220905
The nvr is ds7608 ni 12 8p
And the software version is V4.60.005 build220108
I use the online method of getting the latest software so I’m assuming that this is it !
I am quite new to this lark so any help in pointing me to the right direction for finding info would be greatly appreciated

I’ve initialized the hdd… repaired the database
and rebooted the system….
I don’t know what else to do … I’ve also got the latest version of the hik connect app
…. I’m thinking it’s more app related than it is the system

and sometimes using the hikvision app while trying to save a playback recording I get a error message
“too short recorded video playback failed “
Any ideas what this means
I realise the minimum recording length is 10 seconds but these...
