So i can not just take it into another Hikvision distributor or repair place and get it fixed, it cost me £280 7 years ago i can not really afford to replace it or think it is great for the planet to just chuck it into landfill and buy another when just replacing the board would suffice?

Hi Dan, it was purchased over 7 yrs ago now and the original supplier is no longer in business, i am keen to just get it fixed and updated to the latest firmware really. Hikvision dont want to know because of its age now which is nice. Paul

When you say repaired, what is the repair can i not take it into a cctv shop and have it fixed it is for sure out of its warranty period.

All I do with Hik connect is remote viewing, while away from home/on holiday really, not so much for alarm triggering or remote playback. I have noticed a couple of other issues with v4.5.000 firmware I can't seem to set NAT to new https port number, hikvision firmware is just so buggy.
