Camera Gone Strange

Hi all,

I've had a few cameras for a while now. However a couple of months ago I recently noticed one of my camera's picture has gone bad.

Googling seem to suggest a loose connection however over the weekend I thought I'd get a ladder out and check. It seems fine.

I have attached both night and day. You can see at night all apart from the left side is fine. Then day then left side is fine and the rest is wrong. To me this looks like something to do with the IR sensor, but would like some ideas.

The infra-red cut filter on your camera is sticking.
During the day it should be in front of the sensor and prevents infra-red light from skewing the camera's colour rendition.
At night, it is moved away by a small motor.

The pink tinge that you see is absolutely typical of this fault.
Often, if you tap the camera the filter will complete its motion and the image will come good.

If your camera is within warranty you should contact your reseller and arrange a replacement.
