COMFAST RANGE EXTENDERS

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW I CONFIGURE 2 Comfast CF-E130N V2 Outdoor wireless CPE units. The manual says just plug them into a laptop and they will appear but they dont which then make me unable to access the Comfast site to configure them. Any help would be really great Thanks

Sorry, we've never heard of this brand.

I believe you have to set your pc's ip address to 192.168.10.10 or similar as the Comfast CF-E130N usually come with a set ip address of 192.168.10.1. Your pc will not see the device if you do not configure your ip.

I am a REAL novice so can you tell me how I configure IP ? Sorry about being so thick !

Try plugging in the Comfast CF-E130N into you laptop directly turning off your wifi and then open a web browser and search "192.168.10.1". If that doesn't work then change your laptops ip to 192.168.10.10 and try again. Video below will show you how to set the laptops ip. You will need to set it back to automatic then when you have finished your configuration or you will not be able to connect to your normal network again.
