DS-2CD1047G2-L(UF) vs DS-2CD1047G2H-LIU(F)?

Hi, friends.

I plan to buy a camera for my house. Choose for this one:
DS-2CD1047G2H-LIU(F)
DS-2CD1047G2-L(UF)

Try to understand which is better. Read specs and see that "H" letter adds "Hybrid Light", so think that camera with "H"-letter is just better.

But what's embrassing me - is that for DS-2CD1047G2H-LIU(F) camera there is no firmware available. Instead of DS-2CD1047G2-L(UF) camera that has fresh "Firmware_V5.8.4_240510" firmware available. Does it means that "H"-camera is obsolete and don't have fresh firmware, or, instead, means that "H" camera is VERY modern and don't have a firmware update becase it's already has most fresh firmware inside?

Please help me to understand.

Hi @amilek

The Hybrid Light Technology used by the 1047G2H-LIU(F) model is brand new so I would not expect this model to be obsolete, it is more likely that this model is so new that Hikvision hasn't yet released any new firmware and that the firmware they come pre-installed with is the latest version (but there will likely be firmware releases in the future).

... and got answer for my question. very good post IMHO.

Conclusion: "H"-letter cameras is most modern and preferrable to buy.
