DS-7604NI-K1 not downloading any playback files

I'm running a DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P(B)), with firmware version V3.4.110 build 200212. I've now discovered that I am unable to download any playback video.

Ive tried on Mac & PC, IVMS-4200, chrome, safari, SeaMonkey (Mac), Firefox, and Internet Explorer (on PC). here's one of teh error messages:

File Not Found

The file http://192.168.1.120/ISAPI/ContentM...120/Streaming/tracks/301?starttime=2020-06-12 00:00:00Z&endtime=2020-06-12 04:51:56Z&name=00000000189000000&size=1062476736 cannot be found. Please check the location and try again.

Any advice?

Might be worth updating the firmware. The newer version 4 is now available for your model in the U.K. portal

oooh! Thanks! I completely missed that. i've been keeping an eye out for V4, but only seen V3.4.110 as the latest for the last few months. I'll see if that helps.

I think when you upgrade to V4 there's an option in the storage management to "repair database". Best to do this as otherwise you get issues with your previously recorded data.

Upgraded it.... no difference. still the same, but when downloading the playback file, theres no error message, it just says 'downloading' and it does nothing, just sits there.

There was no 'repair database' option.

I think I'll try a reset to factory settings later and see if that helps.

just for info, the v4 upgrade had no GUI update. it still uses the old interface
