Hik-Connect DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) with legacy dingdong doorbell?

I want to buy a Hikvision DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) doorbell. I will connect the DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) directly to my network with an UTP connection. But I want to connect one way or another my old dingdong doorbell also to it. So when I am at home the dingdong also goes as there is someone at the door. Is that possible and to what contacts do I connect the dingdong in what way? Does anybody know that?

It depends how your ding dong is wired.

After changing the programming or relay 1 from Lock Output to Mechanical Doorbell, you could connect the common/normally open of the output (Green and Blue) across the bell push terminals. Unfortunately it might not work!

The issue is that when the call button is pressed that relay will close and open in about a 10th of a second. It's not possible to adjust that time. I reported the issue to Hikvision a long, long time ago and they responded that they'd forwarded my request for it to be either adjustable or set for longer to their HQ. Nothing has changed through several firmware updates so I expect it's fallen on deaf ears. You might find it works with a traditional wired doorbell, you'll have to try (and please report back whether it works).

I do it a little differently as I'm using wireless doorbells and I found that the pulse was too quick for some wireless pushes to recognise, however if you're in the UK I found the Byron made ones work fine (Friedland wouldn't). To do it with wireless you just pop the metal contact off the PCB and solder a wire to the centre contact and one to any of the outer ones (when the wires are shorted the chime activates). Those wires connect to Blue and Green as above. I just fit that bell push in a one gang shallow box with blank lid inside the house behind the 6113 location. If you search ('Byron' and user 'JB1970') you'll find about 5 of my posts. The earliest one details the wireless bell push mod (though initially I did everything using a two way audio camera rather than than intercom)

Thx JB1970. I have a dingdong with 230/8V transformer and a wireless Friedland connect to that. So I guess as you say it want work. I will look to your solution and other possibilities. If I find a workable one I report it back on the forum.

If the Friedland push is wireless it's unlikely to work. I'm confused that you say you have a powered chime and a wireless button - it's usually wired all the way or fully wireless. As said the Byron ones work and you can add multiple chimes to one push if you need. They just plug in to a free socket or battery operated portable ones are available.

Ok, its a wired doorbell and to that doorbell is connected a wireless Friedland extension

Hi JB1970 I am working on a solution for this problem. Do you know what the voltage of triggerpulse is that's generated by the DS-KV6113-WPE1(C). I assume its a short DC of 5 or 12V. I am correct do you think?

I recently did this for my Dad using a small delay relay module off eBay housed in a little box where the pulse from the 6113 translates to a half second activation.

Unfortunately another bug - the pulse doesn’t happen if you hold the button for any amount of time. It has to be an instant press
And let go.

I will be adding the screen at some point as it’s just not tenable.

I’ve never noticed that issue before but probably just because no one has held the button (which will put it in access point mode). I never used the screen much, I put mine (KH6320-WTE1) on eBay a few days ago as I’m having a clear out.

So AP mode needs an extended press of 10sec+. I’m talking just a second or even a bit less… (software dated May)

I'd never noticed this previously. The call to Hik-Connect works normally but the output doesn't switch. I'm probably on the same version as you - 2.2.77_240515. There is a newer version available 2.2.78_241012. I loaded it briefly a few weeks ago but didn't notice any difference other than additional audio formats.

Hey all,

Feedback from my side. I managed to connect it to my Doorbell which is an electric one. The NO/COM is connected the doorbell which is running on a 8V/AC transformer. On rare occasion, it seems sometime not to work but I couldn't recreate the situation and it only happened one time.

As @Zippy mentioned - holding the push just a fraction too long and the mechanical doorbell relay will not change state (while the call to Hik-Connect will work normally). I didn't believe this until I tried it myself to confirm. It makes the function pretty unusable. On a few occasions I've had a whinge at a delivery driver for knocking on the door "like duh - use the door bell" and then didn't believe them when they said they had!

JB1970, good point. In order to overcome that. I have setup the SIP function therefore all my "landline" phones (Fritzbox) are ringing with the doorbell sound

JB1970, I noticed that you had some success with a Byron wireless bell push, while searching I came across this on the USA Hikvision Portal showing compatible chimes, I know it’s a different model of bell push but 2 models of Byron chimes appear.

It might be worth a punt, but there are 2 models available, a 7v one and an 8 v one.

Sorry for adding a question here.

Bought the ds-kv6113-wpe1(c) to replace my ezviz db1 in which at first the normal doorbell was connected.

This situation works as pressing the db1 doorbell, the mechanicaL chime will ring.

I would like to replace the db1 with the ds-kv6113-wpe and power with the 2 powercords as below. Will then the chime still rings? (As i heard about the separate chime connection and selection?

Power comes from a12va transformator in the central metercupboard.

Only for additonal info, not part of the question, I also have a byron by32 convertor attached to the chime to extend the chime signal in a mobile chime further away in the house.

All works as a charm, expect the db1 that is failing with spooky calls without actually some body at the door.

in addition to previous, the above situation works for the chime only, when connected to the blue and green cables on the DS-KV6113 (after selecting the mechanial chime in the menu). I was able to pull an extra cable for POE powering, so this is working as expected.
