hi my hik vision dvr won't show the up cameras on my monitor connected by vga but it will let me see them on smart phone

Have you checked your resolution on the output, that it matches your screen?

even if I plug HDMI lead from for there is no pics on screen

i.e. a completely blank screen (or just no video?)
What model DVR please?
