Hello all,

Please can anyone give me some advice on where to go next in problem determination.

Hardware:
NVR = DS-7608NI-I2/8P firmware V4.22.005 Build 191208
Cameras = 5 x DS-2CD2155FWD-I firmware V5.6.3 Build 190923
CAT6 cable and all cameras using PoE

System installed since August 2017, upgraded firmware on a regular basis and no real problems to talk about. About a week ago 1 camera started to randomly disconnect with main error message "Data Overtime - No Stream for 20s".

I have switched cameras around to different ports on the NVR and it is the same camera (or cable) that fails each time. I have reformatted the NVR disk drive, tried a cold restart of the NVR, reinstalled the firmware for the failing camera but still the same is happening.

Here is the relevant sequence of error messages in the log just prior to the problem occuring through to the camera disconnecting. A reboot of the NVR brings the camera back on line and it works fine until the next time which could be 2 hours or 2 days later.

Any suggestions/comments welcome

Update - it seems to be a result of a heat issue with the Hikvision NVR.

I removed the NVR cover and vacuumed out the inside which has accumulated some dust (not a great deal, the fan was still working freely and the vents were not blocked with dust) and the problem which was occuring multiple times a day has not occured again for 3 days.

One new problem that has been introduced is that every time I reboot the NVR it enters setup mode. I go through the screens to set the language, time etc and it boots fine and connects to the cameras but each time I reboot I have to go through the same setup sequence again.

This is the wizard, there is a prompt to skip the wizard when the first window comes up but if you don't want to skip it each time you can just manually disable the wizard in the settings.

Go to System > General > and at the bottom of the page, there will be a tick box labelled "Enable Wizard", untick this and click apply then next time you reboot it should go straight to the login page.

Thanks for your post and it fixed the problem - I found the tick box under System>General and as you said it now boots straight up.
