Hik connect app notifications settings

Evening had a new system fitted recently which uses colorVu 3.0 cameras, cameras really good

I want push notifications to my iphone for detection events but in the app under the notification setting for the cameras it reads like you can only have push notifications with alarm and strobe activated
or am I not reading it incorrectly ?? the camera has been set to IR at night until detection then LED should come on but no alarm according to my installer so I am confused as to the app settings.

You are reading it correctly but the alarm and strobe are only activated if the cameras have that capability AND alarm/strobe have been configured as linkage actions in the event setup.
