Hi. The problem is with motion detection. At night, the camera at about 10 meters to the left doesn't see a person, doesn't indicate motion detection with a green rectangle, and doesn't trigger the alarm. In the area under the balcony, you have to move around for a long time before anything is detected. Can anyone help solve the problem?

This is a firmware issue that was never solved. Motion is OK on every part of the image, but smart detection is not.
At this distance, I never had your issue with my 4mp. This was on closer targets and sometimes could be solved by raising camera a few centimeters. But I am sure it's a firmware issue, possibly not affecting 8mp G5s

I don't really know. I have the same issues with Humans not detected by smart events either as Human or just targets. Walking from near(under the camera) to far and about 12 meters are not detected. And this "no detection" is supposed to be OK under the camera but not OK for a person that walks all the way front and 12 meters. A possible solution is to try different angles, azimuth and elevation with slight movements. The other way is to enable and select this part of image with Motion Detection and high sensitivity more than 60. Not Smart but Normal.
Unfortunately those expensive cameras have such kind of issues. And we are not saying about Identification or Recognition or even Observation. This is the minimum and called Detection....

I hope it can be repaired someday. Cameras are out of date as of December 2024. Colorvu doesn't have this problem.
