Hikvision PTZ Smart / Auto Tracking

Hi all,

I've today installed a Hikvison DS-2DF8225IX-AEL(T3) among some other fixed lens cameras. The NVR is a DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/S.

The only thing I'm struggling with on the PTZ is the tracking. It's great when it see's a human / vehicle and it tracks it fine, however, if it first tracks a vehicle, it does not then track the human who exits the vehicle, it just stays locked onto the vehicle until the track time is up and it continues its patrols.

All firmware is up to date on the NVR and the PTZ.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

I assume in your scenario the vehicle is moving, then stops, and then the person gets out several seconds later.

This is the issue, from previous discussions with Hikvision support they have confirmed to us that the Smart Tracking does not support tracking - stop - tracking again, especially not when the tracked object changes after the initial tracking stops.

Based on what we have been told previously there isn't really any way around this issue at the moment.

That’s quite disappointing from Hikvision considering Dahua PTZ’s track whatever is moving… Hmm.
