I have 8 Imou cameras:
5 Crusier SE (4mp) versions https://www.imou.com/en/product/detail/cruiser-se-plus
2 Cruiser 2 SE 3mp Versions https://www.imou.com/en/product/detail/cruiser2
and one generic IMOU bullet camera.
All cameras are linked to a IMOU 8 channel NVR using POE splitter adapters that negate the use or requirement of installing extra power cables/lines. Recently the NVR suffered damage and i need to replace it. Unfortunately finidng this is stock has become rather impossible. I was hoping, therefore to switch to a Dahua NVR, which are more readily avaailable. However, I am worried about app compatibility. The DMSS app for Dahua is very crappy in comparison to the IMOU app, which is more polished, intuitive and user friendly. if i switch to a DAHUA NVR, will it effect compatibility with the IMOU app?

I have both Gen-1 and the new Gen-2 Imou cameras (Sense Series). The original version could be used (added) with DMSS, but the new version can no longer be added. They are still both ONVIF, which allow to add to your Dahua NVR. It looks like Imou is no longer a sister company for Dahua, or at least what it looks, since Dahua is also introducing a full WiFi lineup for its own ecosystem (wifi alarm hubs, sensors, etc.). From my Imou Gen-1 cameras, only the Turret allow for accessing the local web page (port-80), while the Cruiser will not (port-80 blocked). Not sure if all GEN-2 cameras are blocked as well (only have the Cruiser 2C and the Cruiser Dual)
