Minor Works Cert for fused spur?

Hi all,

If I want to fit a fused spur to power a switch in a loft or even an NVR. Do I by law need to carry out sparky type tests and fill out a minor works certificate?

Can anyone help shed some light?

Thank you. I just know some engineers who fit them to power nvrs in lofts etc but they are not sparkies. I'm doing a course and just bought a multifuction tester so I can do it all properly and give official certs.

Just FYI, back in the day when I used to manage security system installation engineers, this is the course we would send them on to gain the required certificate:

Mains Compliance - BTEC Level 3 Certificate - Tavcom Training

Tavcom are good trainers / run great courses

Yes. They are who taught me CCTV and intruder alarms.

I think I will be going down for that course
