My current NAS setup doesn't really allow the simply flip of the TV/Display source to view the CCTV (owing to it not having a HDMI port) and fiddly/impossible "internet browsers" on Smart TVs, and will allow other less tech savvy family members too. Something i should of done in the 1st place i think as its a faff to boot up the desktop/laptop log in just for a quick few seconds view
Also in terms of future updates my current setup would need additional licenses at nearly £100 a pop (for a 4 pack) and a POE Switch (another £100)
Additionally the NAS is filling up so needs another 4TB drive costing even more money
When you add all the above the initial expense of a NVR seems sensible and obvious purchase.
Any gotchas in the above "off the cuff thoughts??"
