I have a Reolink NVR (RLN8-410) with 4 Reolink cameras active. I was given 3 Hikvision DS-2CD2042ND-1 bullet cameras. I understand that Reolink will not guarantee that non-Reolink cameras will work with their NVR's. I have seen posts elsewhere advising that 3rd party cameras can indeed be added. However, I have never seen guidance for specifically adding Hikvision cameras. Does anyone have experience with Hikvision cameras working with Reolink NVR's?? If so, can specific guidance be given as to physical connections of cables and specific settings that need to be made either to the Hikvision cameras themselved and/or the Reolink NVR?

I would imagine it is possible as long as your Reolink supports ONVIF.
You just need to enable ONVIF on your Hikvision cameras, I'd recommend creating a separate "onvif" user and then using those credentials to add the Hikvision camera to your Reolink NVR.
As for connections, a simple Cat5E between the NVR and Hikvision IP cameras should work, you may need the SADP to discover what the IP addresses are given to the Hikvisions.
