New guy here my first cctv build - do I need a 4K monitor for 4K cameras?

Hi Folks I am a network engineer by trade so I am getting a grasp pretty quickly. After about 3-days of reading I have not noticed this being mentioned or brought up. If you build out a 4k NVR system, do you then also need 4k resolution monitors to view it? All my desk monitors are 1920x1080 will I be able to view my 4k on my 1920x1080 monitor or do I need to upgrade the monitor right away? Thanks in advance

You don't NEED a 4K monitor.
You will be able to see video from 4K cameras on a 1080 monitor (obvs not in their full resolution at full screen size).
