Hikconnect issues / VCAs

I have the 7604 NXI mate , is there a way to take off the min/max ? I’ve tried not drawing one and clicking save but it just keeps reappearing and if clear all and try redo it , it is full screen as standard lol
That's fine. Max as full screen is normal.

I’ll redo it that way tomorrow, im gonna see if it gets triggered tonight with any cats etc.

On a side note do you know what the new AI detection is compared to the usual line crossing/intrusion etc? Only noticed it since updating the NVR the other day.

I don't know - there's no detail about that in the release notes for 4.84.100 which is the latest version.

@JB1970

I hope you’re doing well.

I was wondering if you could help me please.

On my g3 colour cameras, the limit gain was set to 1000. I’ve turned this down to 65 now the colourvu light doesn’t come on.

I want the colourvu light to be always on when the camera goes in to night mode

Does changing the limit gain setting affect the colourvu light.

Thank you

Lowering the Gain wouldn't usually prevent the ColorVu from coming on. The lower the gain setting is, the more light is needed to produce a sufficiently exposed image, so generally it would increase the likelihood of the ColorVu light being used.

Just log in to the camera directly using Virtual Host and set the 'Supplement Light Mode' to 'White Supplement Light'. As it's a supplementary light, it'll only illuminate if needed. If it's not coming on you'll need to set a faster exposure time. For example 'Shutter Range' on one of mine is currently set at 1/100000 sec - 1/50 sec. As I'm using photocell lights on the drive I don't want/need the ColorVu light but if I wanted to force it I'd alter that 1/50 sec to 1/100 sec or maybe faster. ColorVu cameras often ship with a slow exposure of 1/12 or 1/25 sec.

thanks a lot for the reply.

It’s currently set to the same range as yours with 1/50

I’ll see if changing it makes any difference.

Yeah white supplement light is selected.

It’s weird because as soon as I put limit gain back to 100 it comes on again that’s what made me think the 2 are related.

The reason I turned down the limit gain from 100 to 65 is at night the images just look way to bright and then that was cresting ghosting and the images although bright don’t show any detail at all.
