Looking for some insight into an issue at home.
Sometimes when my cameras lose then restore power they come back online using far more recorded bandwidth than normal. Once I've spotted it I can usually restore this by changing and then restoring a camera parameter (say fps) - using web (browser) access from the NVR itself (Configuration/video/Audio-video).
But this is a nuisance, relies on my seeing the effect, uses more recording space thus reduces available history time and shouldn't happen (but I think it always has since set-up here a year or so ago).
Any power outage can cause the effect but I'm unsure that it always does so and I often have problems settling the cameras down to what I consider normal.
The last occasion it was only the cameras on one switch that were affected (due to that switch resetting).
Is it the cameras or the NVR ? Maybe a setting I'm missing on the NVR that says 'reset the cameras like vis' ?
Example settings of #1 below (inc. camera accessible only settings) in case I've got something weird there - other cameras are similar, sometimes a minor shift in frame rate or max bit rates.
