No power

Hi to all
I have a HIKVISION DS-7104HGHI-F1
Dvr that was recently purchased second hand. I have plugged everything in the right way but its not powering on.
The power supply is on but when i plug power plug into dvr it stays off and power supply led flashes but stays on when i plug dvr out
Plz help

I am not an expert by any means, but it seems the power supply might be faulty.
If it is with normal round barrel, you can try another 12V power supply, rated with Amps equal or greater to what is written on the DVR label sticker.

If it works unplugged and flashing when you plug in, sorry to say your dvr pins might be shorted meaning faulty dvr, or power supply dont have enough amps, or hard disk is at fault and eating too much amps.

It can be any of those 3 components, easiest is to try with new supply. Older models needed more amps than new. Try with 3.33a
