NVR for 5-6 8MP IP cameras?

Have been looking for an nvr for what will be a 5 to 6 camera 8mp system. I have one DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL and will be adding another 4 cameras and nvr to it. I am looking at the DS-7616NXI-I2/16P/S(E) nvr and was wondering if it a suitable nvr for the cameras in question. I have also seen the DS-7616NI-M2/16P you seem to gain on bandwidth but lose on features ie line crossing etc. The system is for my house

I have the DS-7616NI-M2 (minus the /16P) and that same G5 Hybrid camera (amongst others). Line / intrusion detection is done in that camera. Stay with the G5 cameras and all the line / intrusion can / is done in the camera. My thinking is you're not losing anything with the M series NVR.

But let others more familiar with the NXI I Series confirm you're not losing anything with the newer M series NVR.
