Hi all,
I broke my DVR and have tried what I can think of and googled to fix it but with no luck.
It all started when I scrolled through the Hik-Partner Pro app and found that my DVR, which has been working for years, had a firmware update and of course, I clicked update and after a few minutes my old looking DVR upgraded to V4.30.122 with a brand new GUI and I was chuffed.
Went home that night just to find that my DVR showed offline on the Hik-connect app, after investigation I found that when you go to Platform access in the DVR menu it shows offline.
Tried to default the whole DVR but with no luck, tried different server addresses also with no luck, and I even found an address on google litedev.sgp.hik-connect.com but the status stayed offline.
Then I went to the Hikvision website and found that you can download older firmware versions, I started from the latest and worked my way back in time trying each firmware and defaulting my DVR after each downgrade but still, the Platform access status stayed offline.
I stay in South Africa and have different DVR's on the same premises on the same internet connection working 100% and they are using litedev.hik-connect.com as server address.
During all these firmware downgrades each time I can access the DVR on the Hik-Partner Pro app and via my PC browser, and view the cameras on my phone but obviously only through the LAN, even tried after defaulting the DVR it picked up on the app that there is an un-activated device on the network and then I can use the app to activate it and it ticks green on all the steps but when you want to add it to Hik-connect it fails.
So my question is, does anyone have another type of firmware I can try to get my DVR online again, please?
Model: DS-7216HGHI-F1/N
Hardware version: 0x91100
Current firmware: v3.4.89 build 181108
I spent 2 days trying to figure this out and tried a bunch of stuff so I hope I posted everything that I tried but if you have any questions or suggestions please ask.
