Hi all, totally new to all this. I'm going to use cat6 cables from my cameras to my switch. My question is do I need to use cat6 from the switch to the router which is about 1m away?
Yes, we would recommend using Cat6 for the whole system if you can, in a smaller home system the difference between Cat5e and Cat6 will not be that noticeable but to future-proof the system we would advise using Cat6 cable.
