Problems Adding Uniview Cameras to Samsung SSM Software

Hello
Good time
In a project, we have used UNIVIEW NVRS together with TRIGUARD cameras.
In this project, along with UNIVIEW, SAMSUNG has also been used in the past, and the monitoring software (VMS) of this project is SSM WISENET v2.10.
In order to integrate we have to use SSM.
Also, we are gradually changing the brand from SAMSUNG to UNIVIEW.
But we have a big problem.
If we add UNIVIEW cameras to UNV NVR with UNIVIEW protocol, our live images in SSM software will face serious problems.
But when we add UNV cameras to the UNV NVR with ONVIF protocol, the problem of live images in SSM is solved.
It should be noted that UNV cameras are added in SSM software with ONVIF protocol.
We have tried things like turning off UCODE as well as RTSP protocol, but the problem has not been solved.
We really need your help.
Thank you for understanding and guiding the necessity of this problem.

Hi @saeed

SSM Wisenet is Samsung software designed for Samsung/Wisenet cameras, this will be why the Uniview cameras are only stable when added via ONVIF.

I don't think there will be any way to add the Uniview cameras to SSM using the Uniview protocol.

If the plan is to change all Triguard/Samsung components of the system to Uniview then it might be an idea to change the SSM software to Uniview's EZStation software so that you can add the Uni cameras as Uniview protocol and all other brand devices as ONVIF devices.

Hello
Thanks for reply.
More of the devices of project is hanwha techwin.
We add uniview and try to replace all of the project to uniview.
So the vms software because of hanwha dvrs and ip cameras is SSM WISENET.
And we can not use ezstation for onvif devices.
So we should add uniview on ssm because it support onvif and rtsp protocol.
When we add uniview on ssm with onvif and sametime add on unv nvrs with uniview protocol the live stream will be crash and we have to add unv camera add on unv nvrs with onvif!

Hi @saeed

You've kind of answered your own question, because you are adding the Uniview NVRs to SSM using ONVIF it will be looking for ONVIF devices. So if the cameras are added to the NVR via Uniview protocol the ONVIF protocol of the SSM software won't properly recognise the devices connected to the NVR.

I don't think there will be any way to connect the Uniview cameras to SSM using the Uniview protocol, as 3rd-party devices, they will have to be added as ONVIF devices.

If the majority of the system is Hanwha then you might be better off sticking with Hanwha and replacing the Triguard and any other old models with new Hanwha models, that way they are fully compatible with the Hanwha SSM software.

Dear dan
We can not add uniview nvrs to ssm.
We can just add unv ip camera to ssm with onvif
Live monitoring with ssm
Record with unv nvrs

Hi @saeed

sorry, there is a translation/language barrier that is making it hard to understand your issue.

As far as I can see, your current setup "Live monitoring with ssm / Record with unv nvrs" is the only solution when you have a mixed system of different manufacturers.

Hi @saeed

I just deleted your last comment, we don't let forum users share their email addresses publicly on the forum and as you are not a use-IP customer we won't offer 1-to-1 technical support via email.

We would recommend taking this issue to whoever you purchased your Uniview products from or directly to technical support at Uniview and Hanwha.
