Hi All,
New to this site (and networking) so please bare with me. Last chance saloon - I hope!
Over the Christmas period, I endeavored to explore 'learning' how to use, test and manage my new DS7616NI - K2/16P NVR with the help of associated SADP and IVMS tools. NB - This is my first ever security camera system. As I have no previous networking/IT experience, I had to learn from scratch, so lots of trial and error which has led me to your good selves.
In short, I can no longer access my NVR locally via its static IP address 192.168.0.99, and router 192.168.0.1. under subnet 255.255.255.0
Current system access is as follows..
1) I know my admin password as I can directly access the NVR UI with both password and swipe pattern.
2) I can also access and modify IP address settings in SADP as I receive the pop up notification advising 'parameters modification completed' whenever a change is made.
3) In IVMS, I can view the NVR device under 'Online Device', however, I cannot add this device to client, as I receive 'error 55-incorrect ip address'.
4) A week or so ago, I could access my NVR locally (over wifi from laptop) via its IP address in IE, BUT I can no longer do so. I can load up the login page of nvr ip address, however, I receive 'incorrect username or password' error when I use my NVR admin password to log in.
I have changed my NVR admin password numerous times now, expecting that this change should work when I go to log in via web page but it seems that the NVR has its own password when accessed online at ip. Can someone confirm if this is the case i.e. that you can have 1 pw for NVR GUI and a completely different 1 for web page log in???? If this is the case how do I reset web page login?
I have been onto Hikvision direct, who provided me with a new Key that I imported into SADP. This of course changed my admin password on SADP and NVR UI, but I still cannot log into NVR via web.
Can anyone advise if I am doing something wrong? I am at my wit's end second guessing passwords, repeatedly locking myself out of IVMS and web portal in the hope that I might hit a password that works.
I am assuming that when I had access to NVR via web, me the curious type, made a change to some settings not realising the potential impact it could have. I assumed the nvr password when logging in via IP address was ultimately administered by NVR UI and SADP also.
Hoping someone can offer some advise on this as its incredibly frustrating.
Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading.
Best Regards
