AX PRO upgraded then downgraded firmware, now nothing works

Hi, I have the DS-PWA64-L-WE Control Panel. The alarm panel said it had an update available, version 1.3.0, but the problem is that it got stuck at 100% progress.

One of the PIR's required a new battery, so I replaced the battery and it no longer would pair to the panel. It said there was an update available for the PIR (DS-PDP15P-EG2-WE), but it wouldn't update due to the panel firmware update still being stuck on 100%.

So I went on to Hik's website and manually downloaded the latest firmware for the PIR. I manually applied the firmware (using the web browser). I also did this for all the other devices, as there was new firmware available for all the devices.

But nothing worked, I still couldn't add the PIR back onto the system.

So after doing some research, it seems there was a lot of people complaining that the 1.3.0 build was the problem and it had many bugs, which HIK haven't fixed.

So I set out trying to downgrade the panel firmware, back to 1.2.9 build 230711.

I've now done this, but now the panel has been completely wiped of all the devices. So I tried to enroll each device again. But now NOTHING will add. The devices that previously were added, will no longer add. I suspect it's because I've updated all the devices to latest firmware, but the downgraded panel firmware is cannot see any devices.

Nothing is working apart from the panel, which is on and connected to my app, but showing no alarm devices whatsoever.

These are the firmware versions I updated the devices:

I think the issue now is...as I have had to downgrade the panel firmware, it won't recognise the devices as they are all "new" firmware. So I now need a way of downgrading the firmware for all the devices, but I have no way of doing this because a) I can't download old firmware, b) I can't get the devices online to then downgrade the firmware via web browser

Just seen this. Hopefully you've sorted it by now. What I did would be to add the device by scanning the QR code in Hikconnect. I'd then power cycle the PIR or door contact using the little microswitch in the device. Doing this within the 30 seconds would add the device back in.

You can re add, but each device has to be manually resetted. For example keyfob: Remove battery, and reinsert while holding disarm key

As for PIR, remove battery and gold tamper while you insert battery. Pretty much same for all devices.

Only then you can add to the panel

Just be wary, I would default the panel after the firmware upgrade. I believe the devices are still present on the panel but no accessible. I have a system with about 40 devices on a 64. Got to device 25 and had not enough room to add device. Had to default and re add again.

I’ve have a ticket open with Hik for this car crash update, it seems like the tech guys don’t know anything about the AX PRO.

I think the updates been pulled now, we have a few on Feb 1.3.0 version and it won’t let us upgrade through HPP.
