Hi all, had a different question.
I've got a 2 way audio camera.

Just wondering how is the sound quality suppose to be??
I've got noise suppression off currently, I'm just hearing mostly static and sometimes wind quiet speech a few metres away doesn't seem to be picking up well enough to make out what is being said.

any ideas or experiences with audio from the hikvision cameras???

It'll depend where your camera is mounted. If they're tucked up under the eaves at high level I wouldn't expect to pick up much other than wind and traffic. I've no issues with mine which are at a lower level (around 3 metres). Environmental Noise Filter will cut out/reduce wind and traffic noise until it reaches a certain amplitude, where it will break through. I would try putting the noise filter on and turning up the input Volume. I forget what the default volume is but I have some of mine I have at 60 and some at 80.
