Posting in case anyone else has similar question.
Config:
When LocalServiceComponents plugin is not installed, accessing the camera via web browser only provides sound from camera (1 way audio). Unable to use computer's microphone and the red microphone icon on lower bottom left does not appear. But after plugin is installed the icon appears. Now I can have 2 way conversation with person at other end of the camera! Also confirmed this when plugging camera into NVR and accessing NVR via web browser.
Config:
- DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL (Smart Hybrid with 2 way audio). Ethernet cable carries 2-way audio as well, no additional plugs have to be plugged in.
- Desktop computer with headset connected and camera is on same network subnet as computer

- Update to newest plugin. Web Browser Plug-in Vulnerabilities Patch (CVE-2023-28812, CVE-2023-28813)
