Can't get microphone/audio on Colorvu

Hi, a year or so ago I wanted to activate audio recording two of my 8 cameras. They are both Colorvy cams and have microphones. I read this thread and did as instructed. - Can't get the Microphone on my DS-2CD2347G1-LU to Work

That worked. I then turned audio OFF again a few weeks later. I now want it on again but it won't work. Followed the correct procedure. Tried it on both the NVR (NXi model) and the cameras direct via Virtual Host. but neither approach gives me audio either recording or monitoring. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem or has any ideas? I am totally stumped, tried reboots and everything I can think of

I'm an idiot. All this time. i just found another screen via Virtual Host with an Audio LEVEL setting. Those were at zero! Problem solved. Will leave thread in case there are any other imbeciles out there like me. :D
