Just hooked my new ptz ds-2de3a400bw-de to my ids-7204hqhi-k1/2s b activated and added the camera. The other works fine but the features arnt working like the colorve light should automatically work when it gets dark that isn't working or there isn't options for siren and lights on the smart events.

Recently downloaded the latest firmware for my dvr so I know that upto date.

I also logged into the camera via a computor and set the light setting etc bit no joy.

Having a headache with it

Hi @shadboy

How have you connected the camera to the DVR? I thought from our previous thread you were waiting for a PoE Injector.

Are both of the screenshots from the NVR settings or camera settings?

What firmware version is the camera using?

Iv used the power supply that came with it and plugged into my network switch. Just thought I'd set the cam up ready for the poe injector tomorrow. One pic of from the hvr and one is from logged into the camera from.the pc

Okay,

When logged into the camera with a PC, have you checked the event linkage action settings? Some of these advanced, camera-specific settings are not available in the NVR settings.

You mentioned the white light not working, how have you tested this? Have you tried forcing the camera into Night mode under the Day/Night image settings?

Also, make sure the camera is updated to the latest firmware - V5.8.0_230614

Hi.
Yes I cover the sensor up by hand to check the light settings. Also the firmware isn't upto date there's 3 to choose from so not sure witch one I need I'll attach a photo. There are np trigger alarm output options to choose from on the Web interface..

Hi @shadboy

If you follow the link in my last post that is the correct firmware version.

There are 3 different models but this is just Hikvision being unnecessarily confusing because they all use the same firmware version.

In regards to the hand trick to trigger the white light, we have tried this on ColorVu cameras before and it is common for it to not work because the ColorVu sensor is so sensitive that even with only small cracks of lights between your fingers or light passing through your skin that is enough light for the camera to stay in day mode and the white light doesn't turn on.

If when you switch it to night mode the white light can be enabled, then I am pretty sure the white light will trigger when set to auto and installed somewhere that is pitch black at night.

Thanks for the help. I'm just doing the update now so hopefully fingers crossed it will work. I also tried to update my hvr to 5.0 but there isn't a option for the 5.0 just a firmware upgrafe thats atill using 4.0 Thanks for your help
