Hi,

Hope someone can help.

*sorry, I'm new here, please be gentle...:)

I have a - 4 Channel CCTV DVR Recorder, DEATTI HD 1080P Lite 5in1 Hybrid DVR (1TB Hard Drive).
I'm trying to get the system to record but it's only recording for a few hours before stopping (the system continues to function correctly but the recording aspect is stopped). The instructions are not very clear and they don't cover any of the issues I'm having.

If you know of the system or you are familiar of the issue I am having, please advise (I can provide you with more information to try and help you diagnose what the issue could be).

Thanks for your time.

Hi there,

Thanks for your response.

Here are a couple of screenshots showing the menu screens and the options I have chosen.

On the 'Record>Record Config' - I have chosen 2 channels (as I only have 2 cameras)
The length and prerec times have been left as default
I have left the Mode as 'Schedule'
Period 1 has been set as 24 (to record 24hrs)

Any advice is greatly appriciated.

Kind Regards,

GingerOverlord

Thanks @GingerOverlord

These are some very odd, non-standard recording settings.

Do the instructions/manual you have mention anything about the 'Length' box in the first screenshot that is currently set to 60 minutes?

To me, that looks almost like a max. recording duration, have you tried setting this to 120 or 180 minutes to see if that extends your maximum recording duration?

Have you tried setting it to 0 minutes? That might remove the duration cap entirely so that it just records until the HDD is full.

Hi,

Yeah, the menus don't make much sense... and neither does the manual.

According to the manual, the 'length' is the recording time for each recording file. By default, the length of one video is 60 minutes. The video length can be set up to 120 minutes.

Idealy, I want the system just to record, and to keep recording until the HHD is full and then for it to just keep recording over itself.

Thanks,

Thanks @GingerOverlord

It's very strange because I can't see anything significantly wrong with how you currently have the recording configured.

Are the cameras connected to the NVR set to 2MP/1080p resolution?

What options are given to you in the 'Advanced' sub-menu in the record settings?

Have you tried just setting the record schedule to 'Regular' and unticking 'Detect' and 'Alarm'?
