Does HiLook DVR-208U-M1 Support Cloud Storage?

Hi,

I have purchased myself a DVR-208U-M1. I expected a recent DVR model to have capability to export "motion detection" video to the cloud. In the "Storage Configuration" tab there is no "Cloud Storage" tab. I see many videos showing this tab being there.

How do I enable this please?

Hi @rcotgrov

As far as we know, no HiLook recorders support proper cloud recording (e.g. sending recordings to something like DropBox or Google Drive). Some models do have the option to configure what they describe as 'Cloud Storage', but when we have looked at it in the past it is actually limited to sending recordings to another Hikvision recorder outside the main network that acts like a "backup server".

I guess I can configure "photo" snapshots of motion by email then?

Yes, see pages 21/22 of the HiLook DVR User Manual for instructions on setting up email notifications with an attached picture.

You will also need to make sure that 'Send Email' is ticked as a linkage method when setting up motion detection.
