I’ve had my Hikvision setup at home for quite a while now (DS‑KD8003Y‑IME2 outdoor station + DS‑KH6320Y‑WTE2 indoor station). Recently, I started experimenting with Home Assistant and integrated all my Hikvision devices successfully.
To build some useful automations, I would like to know the actual state of my gate/door — open or closed. I’m using the system to control the entrance gate. Currently, I can only trigger unlock from Home Assistant or HIK-Connect App, even if the gate is already open (in that case the gate closes again).
I’d like to avoid relying on the camera view every time, and instead have a simple “open / closed” status sensor.
Is there any way to read the door/gate state from the DS‑KD8003Y‑IME2?
If someone already solved this or knows whether it’s possible, I’d really appreciate your help.
