Hi guys just wondering if anyone had any experience of this.

Im in the UK and the weather at the time was just normal Spring weather, 12 to 14 degrees.

hikvision ds-2cd2347g2-lsu/sl about 4 year old, the glass covering the lens has just randomly cracked.
This obviously allows moisture in and the footage is now pointless.

Nothing hit the camera and its at the rear of the house between ground and first floor so out of the way.

I watched the footage and can see it going from crystal clear to blurry with no object hitting it.

Can I remove the glass and rebond it with another piece of glass (if so anyone any links for a replacement) or do I just need to replace the whole camera?

Thanks.

That's annoying. I once managed to tap one with a screwdriver lightly and it broke all too easily. I've not replaced one myself, it was an older models and I just ebayed it but I see no reason why you couldnt replace it as you've suggested.

It does make me wonder how these turrets are given IK10 impact resistance. IK10 means the enclosure should be able to withstand the impact from a 5KG mass dropped from 40cm. 'Enclosure' clearly doesn't include the glass which can't resist the head butt of an aggressive moth!
