The current firmware you are running is very old (dated 2014).
You can find all of the firmware versions for this NVR model HERE
As you are so far behind, we recommend that you update to each of these firmware versions one at a time (do NOT just skip to the latest version).
If you look at the release notes for the V3.4.4 firmware, you will see that this update should introduce support for Hik-Connect.

The problem is that the update files were not downloaded in order and hence I accidently updated the NVR (from IVMS4200) to the 2nd latest firmware before the 1st one I should have update and it is now rebooting it self from time to time and the webpage isn't loading the NVR would loose connection every time I try to access the setting in IVMS4200 but can live view. I tried to update it from the NVR it self and it is saying something like firmware mismatched but didnt prompt when i updated it in IVMS.

I have now solved the mystery. It has to do with the file naming, since the upgrading file name is the same (digicap) it has to be just that and not (eg.
digicap (1) ) I did since there were 3 files. many thanks to admins and who ever comes to read this thread.
