NVR and G2 camera firmware update tips (been tucked away for a while)

Hi All,

I have some hikvision kit that has been out of use for some time - NVR and some G2's. I would like to update the firmware on 2 x G2 turret camera's and the NVR. Keen to tread careful with the NVR in particular as have killed one years ago by selecting the incorrect firmware version.

A few questions if that's OK:
Am I OK to update both the cameras and the NVR from their current version directly to the latest version (any links to the correct firmware would be great)?
Guessing its best to update the NVR from USB stick into NVR?
Guessing I login to the G2 directly to update the firmware rather than going through the NVR interface?

My NVR:
DS-7608NI-M2
V4.63.005 build 230512

My G2's:
DS-2CD2347G2-LSU/SL20211026AAWRG94230326 (hardware C on sticker)
V5.5.801 build 210727

Any help would be great = would love to avoid bricking these lol

OK - so update to my own post. I risked the G2 update and grabbed the firmware from the hikvision product page. I upgraded by directly going into the camera using edge browser in IE mode. Upgraded to V5.7.19 build 241207 - seems to be OK

For my NVR - the hikvision product page does not have a link to the firmware (maybe removed recently) - but i found the download portal and upgraded to V5.04.066 250620 using edge browser again. Testing now but all looks good.

Sigh of relief lol! Love the excitement of risking the upgrade vs breaking everything lol
