HIK 7604 series NVR web login password error

Hi

I'm just setting up a new 7604, its all working fine on the local monitor but when I try to login via hte web portal or iVMS it says the password is incorrect. Its most definitely not as its working fine in the local view. Any ideas what might cause this?

Hi @Cadjockeygm

Are you entering your password each time you try to log in to the NVR on local view?
Does the password work in the SADP tool, if you try to alter any of the network settings?

Make sure that your keyboard is actually inputting the characters that you expect in the web browser/iVMS-4200.
It would also be worth trying a default reset while logging into the NVR remotely if you have no luck with the above, as we've known it to help with similar problems, such as in this thread - use-IP Forum: Unable to access NVR on Local LAN via any WEB browser

@Kyle thanks. Yes, it was me thinking I wrote something else. the old firmware didn't have an option to display the password, I assumed the keyboard was a shift, but it was actually caps. the new firmware is much better and does show the text ;-)
