Since updating to 4.7.1 my video keeps freezing after a a couple of minutes with the error code 47. I have iPad Air and iPad Air2 with latest iOS software (12.4,8 for air). Have tried reducing resolution but makes little difference. I need to press pause then play to restart video or restart app. What does the error code 47 mean please?

Their error code tool is no longer supported / updated, but FWIW:

Thank you very much for your response. I’m viewing all my cameras on my local network but does this mean I need to login to Hikvision or local device login? The system has been running for a year or so strange it should start complaining about user logins on all devices.

I can't tell which login it is missing / complaining about.
It's probably a one-off required since the update.

Hopefully by trial & error login/access you'll be able to get back to a stable setup.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Phil. I think It’s something to do with the fact that I have made 2 configurations on the app, 1 for local connection only and 1 for connection via net & something has changed to reverse them??? Anyway, I think I’m winning!

I'm getting the same issue, but had not upgraded the firmware; it just suddenly started happening a week or so ago. I don't think it corresponded to an iOS update as its running on an old iPad Mini that doesn't get regular updates any longer. There may have been a Hik-Connect update as I have automatic updates turned on, but I don't know how to check that.

Have you been able to fix the problem? @Steve@devon ??

I have a work around rather than a fix. I found that the problem only happened on my local configuration (ip ldomain). It happened on all devices and was not dependent on the app being connected with the internet. My best guess is that it is some type of user timeout rather than logout and has happened since recent updates to hik-connect app.

In the past, I mostly used my local configuration for monitoring but I found that the problem went away when I started using my ‘hik-domain’ configuration. This now provides very stable, high quality monitoring. I was going to wait for the next update or so to the app to see if this would change anything.

Thanks @Steve@devon

It's definitely the iOS app causing the issue. Another iPad I have still has version V4.5.0.645512 on it and works flawlessly.

The iPad Mini has been upgraded to V4.7.1.811812 and suffers the issue with the timeout. From the App Store, it looks like 4.7.x is about 3 weeks old, which would sort of coincide with my iPad automatically updating and the issues beginning. Not sure where to go from here. Will attempt to contact HikVision support.
