Hello everyone , I updated to the new HC yesterday and I am having issues that I never had before.

The stream is going off quite a bit (just says device offline) and when I try and refresh it asks for the encryption password but then says the password is wrong.
Also the presets have changed , I now have the wiper/fish eye symbols there and no longer have the alarm/light to choose from, so I cant trigger the strobe or alarm myself.

I have deleted and reinstalled it but there is no change, does anyone know what I could do to change the presets at all? Thanks.

IOS users unfortunetely always eats up bugs and needs to wait for a fix. Luckily for android users we can always roll back

Do you have Stream Encryption turned on? If so the encryption password that it's asking for is the verification code from the Hik-Connect page of the menu unless you've changed it...it is not the NVR 'admin' password. I have the latest version of his-Connect and am not seeing any issues.

Just click the little down arrow beneath the icons you see to reveal the rest of them, then.....

....with all icons revealed select 'Adjust Icon Order' to put what you want on the top row.

Thanks for the reply again JB , I’m not sure what was going on but when I deleted the nvr and readded it via “online devices” I had nothing but trouble , saying device offline , missing features for alarm/light etc.

I readded the nvr via the serial number and everything is working spot on now , got alarm/light features back , the blue alarm symbol is back, so I really don’t know what it was lol

Do you know if live guard has been changed the way arm/silent arm etc has been configured with notifications ? I’m going to start using it but not sure how

Adding it using local device can use its local IP (192.168.x.x) which isn’t routable so may only work when you’re at home connected to your WIFi. Always add via serial number and preferably with WiFi turned OFF on your device while adding. That adds and proves a routable link in one go.

No change that I’m aware of. Some models and firmwares have the ability to zone your cameras and arm/disarm in groups. The only difference between arm and arm silent is that any configured audio/strobe actions are disabled in arm silent. Arm ‘silent’ will not mute the push notifications

I’ll remember that for next time lol but fingers crossed it’s been fine since adding with serial number.

And that sounds perfect I only have the 1 camera with live guard and when I have set a schedule it won’t let me manually turn it on if it’s outside the schedule I set , so I’m wanting to set it continuously but arm/disarm as and when I’m home or not etc so I’ll give that a go , thanks mate.
