Hi Everybody,
After running iVMS-4200 for what seems like an eternity, I was keen to finally sit down and try HikCentral Lite (V1.2.0.202510101959). The free version seemed more than capable to cover my needs.
The migration process was a little painful. My legacy Hikvision Storage Server software is no longer supported so I could not access any of my previously saved video. I run the Storage Server as a system service so it will always be running after a reboot after an update or system crash. It sits in the background recording video/events even when iVMS-4200 is not running. The migration process changed ALL of my cameras OSD names to IP addresses/ports which was most annoying.
However my main issue is that the free version of HikCentral Lite seems to support only four channel of video recording!?
I can display all of my cameras but in trying to set up my recording schedules (after the failed data migration), as soon as I setup four cameras I could no longer add any more. Has anyone else found this?
Michael.
