Hikvision 7608NI-M2 set up with doorbell and notifications to Hik-Connect?

Hi Guys.

After some advice.

I have the 7608NI- M2 NVR.

I have 5 colorvu cams.
1x tapo indoor cam connected wireless via onvif
1 x Standalone Hik Villa C bell (no monitor) just a doorbell.

My question is, can I connect my doorbell via Cat5 directly to my NVR and have all of the features that I would have of the doorbell on the Hik connect app?

In answer to your question, for the doorbell/intercom features to work the intercom has to be connected to a separate PoE Injector or Switch elsewhere on the local network. If plugged directly into the PoE ports on the NVR the intercom can't be seen as an individual device by the Hik-Connect app and you can't receive the doorbell notifications.

When you have the intercom added to a separate PoE Injector/Switch it will have its own IP address which you can use to add the stream from the intercom camera to your NVR, so it will still be possible to live view and playback the intercom camera alongside the other cameras.
