Hi,

I already have 2 Reolink cameras - RLC-410-5MP. Im looking to install these at the rear of the house.

Im thinking of getting 2 HIkvision ColourVU cameras for the front.

Can i get a Hikvision NVR and will it show the Reolink cameras on the Hikvision app?

What do people think of a mix camera build?

Thanks

Hi @safeqaz - I can't find anything that says your RLC-410 cameras are ONVIF conformant, which they need to be to connect them to a Hikvision NVR.
You may have an option to enable ONVIF within the camera's network settings, so it's worth checking, or speaking to Reolink directly about ONVIF conformance.

If you can, it's best to have all your cameras and NVR be the same brand, as this is the only way to guarantee you will be able to access all the camera features on the NVR. Connecting via ONVIF often only means you will be able to use basic camera features, such as live view, playback and basic motion detection.

If you can get the cameras connected to the NVR, then they will show in the Hik-Connect app, as when a HIkvision NVR is added to the app, all of the connected cameras are too (regardless of the brand).

Another option would be to record at the edge using the microSD card slots on the cameras, as you should be able to connect to them directly and access all of their settings this way. Although your storage space will be limited compared to what an NVR offers.
