Hikvision T250-MU events trigger issue

I have a Hikvision T250-MU and trying to setup event triggering events. I have several other Hikvision cameras and have worked on them before - for example recovering one that was bricked back to life with the correct firmware. However this new camera, i cannot get events to work. The only thing it does is reacts to timed snapshot but only between the night hours - so if i set it to auto capture every 10mins, it will but only during this time window

have just suddenly realised - under the time settings - i only see blue which is timed - i cannot set green for event timing (only blue not other colours) - is this a restriction of this camera that it does not do event triggering even though one can set it?
