Hi, i use DS-7732NXI-I4 / S (V4.62.225) nvr and i have noticed that my cameras doesn't detect vehicles right. For example when i try to playback footage from one of my cameras from hikconnect when i select vehicles it doen't bring me any footage. If i select event, then it brings me all the event triggers but of course as simple events without any clarification. Some other of my cameras have vehicles clarification footage but not of all vehicles that they have pass through the day (meaning that they also skip some vehicles by not clarify them).
I have to mention that most of the vehicles are not cars but trucks, tractors and other large vehicles.
The cameras i use are DS-2CD2T87G2-L (V5.7.19) and DS-2CD2043G2-IU (V5.7.19)
Thank you in advance

If this is about HikConnect v6.10 yes there is also an issue with that.
If you select Playback and press quickly the Person or Vehicle, then sometimes this does not give results. Even if you select All again, you will not see green and yellow footage. You must go out of Playback, select again, wait a few seconds and then you see green and yellow markers.

Hi and thanks for your answer. It’s not about Hik connect because the same issue occurs to my NVR also.
The one you’re talking about sounds like a Hik connect bug.
In my case has to do with the camera or NVR.

This comes up reasonably frequently on here so ignore this if you're already aware...Three things are required in the setup to allow filtering to Vehicle (and/or Human):

1 - For you to be able to filter events to Vehicle one either Hik-Connect or normal Playback, the Vehicle tick box has to selected in each event that you've set up. For example if you've a line crossing event set up and in the event Vehicle is not ticked, then selecting the Vehicle filter when playing back will not filter the events to Vehicle. It's the Vehicle box being ticked in the individual event setup that ensures that the camera tags the event as Vehicle so that the filter works when playing back.

2 - Dual VCA needs to be enabled on each camera. I've noticed on a few recent installations that although it is displayed as being 'on' when viewing the NVR config, it is actually off in the camera itself (this may be a bug on the 2xx7G3 cameras - not sure). So check that by logging into each camera directly and going to Configuration > Video/Audio > Display Info on Screen

3 - NVR needs to have the option 'Keep VCA Data' enabled. This used to be off by default, but I've noticed on the newer firmwares it is on by default.
