Hikvision Time Sync Issues?

Hello,
I have one DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P(B) NVR and two DS-2CD2385FWD-I cameras.

The NVR has NTP set up as follows:
NTP Server pool.ntp.org
Port 123
Interval 60

This works a treat. The two cameras which are directly connected to the NVR refuse to accept this as they can't connect. I have tried putting the IP of the NVR so the cameras can get their IP from that, but again, they refuse. The result is that they run their time independently, it often goes several minutes out of sync to actual time and when it is daylight saving, I need to log in to NVR, go to Camera Management and access the IP of each camera, log in to each camera and sync the time with my desktop PC.

Has anyone found an easier way to get this to work?
Thanks in advance.

Plug and Play - If the cameras are connected to the PoE ports of the NVR they have no access to the internet and receive their time from the NVR. It's pointless entering an NTP server address in the camera in this instance as it's inaccessible.

Manual - If the cameras are connected elsewhere on your LAN (not the NVR PoE ports) you can set the NVR to sync the cameras time or if DNS and Gateway are configured in the camera you can point them to the same NTP server as the NVR.

Thank you.
Hmmm ok, seeing as I only have two cameras only, it doesn't seem worth adding them to the network. It would also introduce potential issues should the network switch fail or something else on the network go wrong. Maybe for now, I will keep it as is, I was just surprised the NVR wasn't able to pass the time to the directly connected cameras.

The NVR is able to pass the time to the directly connected cameras; that's the norm. I'm not sure why there would be issues/what's different in your case. Not that I'm aware of any camera or NVR firmware issues related to time sync, but ensure you're on the latest firmware for both. That would be 4.30.097_240401 for your NVR and 5.6.820_220519 for your cameras.

Ah thank you. Maybe firmware is the cause.
This is what they currently have:
NVR:V4.30.085 build 210409
Camera:V5.6.6 build 210625

Can you point me in the right direction of the correct firmware. When I search the UK HIK site, I am only finding:
DS-7604NI-K1/4P/4G

Thanks in advance.

NI-K1 (B) NVR 4.30.097

G1 Platform Camera 5.6.820

As said, firmware unlikely to be the cause but always the first troubleshooting step after checking settings.

The UK Hik site often only shows current models. The UK portal has older models.

Thank you - really helpful.
I did all three (NVR + 2 cameras). All up to date now.

I will give them a couple of days and see how things go.
This is the view on each camera. If you select NTP, as you said, it says it can't connect.

There’s no need to set anything whatsoever on the camera when they are connected to the recorder. Nothing on the network, nothing in the time settings. Mine are set as they come out of the box with no NTP and a time zone of Beijing, yet the time is perfectly in sync with the NVR.
