MacOS How to view playback on MacOS?

Hi all, I have a single DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL on firmware v5.7.18, no NVR, and when connecting to its IP via a browser I can see "Live View", "VCA", "Configuration", and "Maintenance and Security". There is no playback.

In scanning various threads here many folk have had varied success in trying various methods but in trying many different browsers I havent had any success. What is the latest "workaround" as some threads are a few years old now. Is iVMS-4200 the only solution for MacOS (Intel based) users for playback?

Yes, as a single camera user, it is recommended to use iVMS-4200 to view playback on a Mac.
