Is it possible to "Hack" my Edimax camera firmware for ONVIF support?

Hello, i have an Edimax IP camera, i think its a IC-7001W, and it does NOT have ONVIF protocol support, and consequently the only way i can view the stream/record is by connecting it to a PC and either using the web interface or the really nasty software that came with it. I also have an NVR, and it supports ( it think) pretty much any IP camera providing it has ONVIF support.

My question is, is there any kind of firmware that i can somehow flash onto my Edimax that will give it ONVIF support, so i can use it with my NVR, a bit like how you can add something like DD-WRT to a router for greater functionality.
Somehow, i am kind of guessing the answer is no, but its worth asking, right? :)

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't think you are going to find an alternative firmware that will work with your camera.

Some recorders / CCTV software include features to add 'generic' camera feeds which may work for you.
e.g. 'Generic MJPEG'

Yes, OK, i thought so. Also my NVR does not have a generic option.
Never mind, i am working on getting better PC software to do the job.

Thanks
