Latest firmware update on HIKVISION DS-7608NI-I2/8P only accepts 3 cameras? (it reboots on 4 or more)

So i can not just take it into another Hikvision distributor or repair place and get it fixed, it cost me £280 7 years ago i can not really afford to replace it or think it is great for the planet to just chuck it into landfill and buy another when just replacing the board would suffice?

The options I've suggested are the only ones we know will definitely work, you could try contacting a Hikvision distributor but they are unlikely to engage with an end user and a repair place won't be able to access the specific Hikvision parts required to repair it.

If you are not getting responses when emailing Hikvision it might be worth phoning them because you will be more likely to reach a real human.
