New Blue Bell Icon and Alerts?

Hi guys. Hope you can help. Two questions. Have a HikVision DVR wired set up. So not wireless. Just updated to new firmware and there’s now a blue bell with lightning icon in top right corner. Is that just the new way for silencing notifications as before?

Also. When you get the intruder or line crossing notification and click on it, it used to take me to the Hik-Connect app to the trigger point itself. But lately (even BEFORE) the update, it would just take me to the App but not show the trigger point event. Whereas before it would always have taken me to the App with a box of the trigger event which I could click play on.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @Jase - the blue bell with lightning is just an icon to indicate that events are active, as @JB1970 explains here (in a bit more detail):

With regards to the notification not taking you straight to the event in the app, could you please let us know the following things?

• NVR/DVR model number
• The firmware version you updated it to
• The Hik-Connect version you are using
• If it is on an iOS or Android device, and the OS version it is using
