The "No more connections allowed on this device" issue with new 8mp Colorvu cameras and I series NVR, does anyone know when Hikvision are going to sort this out? It's been a while now.

I'm not sure whether what NVR you have but I noticed a new patch firmware in the portal this morning for the I Series called 'HC Playback issue (exceeds max user) fix'. It does say importantly that it's not compatible with the 8 channel I series. How do you reboot?What NVR do you use? And version of FW?
Easiest solution is to restart your NVR so that NVR cancel all of previous "connections".
Either from the menu on the local monitor or by web browser - Configuration > System > Maintenance > RebootHow do you reboot?
